Performance

In summer 2025 we were delighted to achieve yet another year of record-breaking GCSE and A Level outcomes at Phoenix Academy. Our GCSE results rank the school in the top 3% of schools nationally - an incredible reward for the dedication of both students and teachers alike. The Government's headline measure (Progress 8) enables parents to compare students' achievements across different schools in England. Phoenix's Progress 8 score of +0.75 means that students on average achieve nearly an entire grade higher than similar students nationally. This goes to show the life-changing impact that an education at Phoenix can provide.  We are delighted to have met, and in many cases exceeded, a suite of ambitious targets that we set for ourselves this year.

GCSE

Our GCSE results were the highest in the school's 70-year history. There some fantastic grades across all subjects, however we are so immensely proud to have seen our best-ever maths and science results, and half of all students in biology and chemistry having achieved a grade 7 or above.

All of our students performed fantastically. Some top results included:

  • Maryama who achieved nine grade 9 results
  • Alia, who achieved nine grade 9 results
  • Ayoub, who achieved nine grade 9 results and
  • Mohammed, who achieved nine grade 9 results

We are so pleased that most of our students will be continuing their studies in our Sixth Form.

A-Level

Our best-ever A-level results saw 25% of students achieving all A and A* grades and almost 60% of pupils receiving A* to B.

We are so incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by all of our students. We were delighted to see some of our students secure places at top universities, including:

  • Nawal who's going on to study medicine at Queen Mary University after receiving an A* and two A grades
  • Ridwan whose A*, A and B secured him a place to study Finance and Economics
  • Radwan who achieved two A* grades and an A, and secured a place to study Aerospace Engineering at UCL.
  • Jazmine who is heading off to Kings College London to study Psychology after earning two As and a B.
